Quick and cheap! Great place for a tasty, fast and fresh meal. Order at the counter from an extensive menu and your food is brought to your numbered table. Also serves spirits and beer. Located in the Village above the former and infamous Village steps, this place is a local favorite. Pictured are the Bahn Mi chicken sandwich ($4.50!!!!) and the beef with crispy noodles. Highly recommended - you gotta try it!

I had pork chop on rice . I must say it was good . The price was within $10 . Reasonable for a restaurant located around this location . They have a big menu to fill your appetite! Recommending this place to all Vietnamese food lovers 🙂

I absolutely LOVE this place! Their food is amazing, staff are friendly and the service is always good. You can choose to eat in or take it to go and there is many drink options as well. There is a condiment rack where you could get free water too. I don't know whether or not they have a washroom. It does have a ramp for wheelchair/scooters but the door is not automated and is heavy. Since it's in the village it's popular to LGBT customers and couples. If you have nut or other food allergies let the cashier know before you order since the menu does not mention if something has peanuts or seafood in it. Be extremely careful if you have a deadly reaction to allergies.

I live in Barrie but when I'm in the city this is one of my go to food spots. The menu is vast and everything is always fresh, not to mention there is plenty of seating and friendly staff. Great food I recommend coming to this establishment.

First time visiting Toronto; I order grilled chicken on rice. Price is great compare to Vietnamese restaurants in Vancouver. Taste is great too. Portion wise - rice is huge, meats is paper thin and vegetables only have 2 pieces. But like other said, foods come quickly and hot. Give it a try.

The 4 stars is for the food, the 1 star missing is for the service.Still, it's not that bad. Good price, yummy food, and great location.

Ordered beef (raw) pho with extra beef online via Foodora. It was so disappointing to see that the extra beef Ginger sent was 1/3rd of what they actually give when we collect the take out in person. Plus, when we ordered raw beef for the pho, I don't know why people at Ginger thought the extra beef should be cooked! I am a regular at this store and have never faced any problem with the order when I collect it in person. Seems like quality service can't be expected unless they see you at the store in person.

Location is great, food is just about okay. I am not the type of person who is very picky on food quality as well. however, their customer service is not that great. I was coming on the day not busy at all. Only 1 person was waiting for take-out, then me. They told me it would take 10 minutes for my food, it's actually take longer than that. Their attitude is like just machine. No smiling, no friendly. they got less marks for that. Hope they will be better next time.

It’s a chain. The food is pretty decent. However it’s more than food. This branch definitely respects and appreciates their community. One Sunday afternoon I lost my phone and tried to find a place to call from they were happy to help even tho the place was busy, I went to 4 different businesses before I got that yes from the people in ginger. On another occasion I had to use the washroom at 5 am and the cleaning crew let me in even tho the place was closed, so every time I’m around I definitely choose to eat here!

I always enjoy the food. It's Pride right now so things are a little hectic everywhere. Little things should always be taken care of though....cleaning of tables, bathrooms etc. I had to ask for the table to be cleared and wiped down, bathroom....well....not bad considering the volume if people. Atmosphere is bright and open.....too busy to get my table by the open window......next time.

Great food for low price. Serve beer!Cleanliness could be improved, especially in the restrooms which may I add you have to basically almost walk through the back kitchen , they are in a really awkward spot. Tables are small, in bad shape, always wobbly but other than that, it's good. The staff are introverted but nice. They accept cash,debit & credit

the place is super clean! I love the way Ginger does the ordering, where you order at the cash and then sit down and the food comes to you (you'll have to grab your own water or napkins) but it works for me. their food was really great!

Generous portions, great price, half decent flavour.

Nice place, good flavour but all this is thrown away because I found long hair on the food. The season is really good , so I am sad of they don’t put attention to the details.

My girlfriend suggested we get some pho and I'm glad she did, because this was some of the best pho I've had in a long time. Broth was rich and flavorful, the rare beef was delicious and perfectly cooked, and the entire meal came together to make quite an experience. Prices are great and the portions are just enough to hit the spot. Only had the rare beef pho and the chicken roll but I highly recommend.

Ginger is my favorite restaurant in the village. The food is delicious and fresh traditional Vietnamese. The prices are the best and portions are big. Their rolls and mango salad are the best in the city. They also carry cheesecake factory cheesecake slices if that's your jush.

My favorite place around my work, very good service and the foods are mostly tasty, very nice price for a delicious good food, specially Chicken coco my mushroom soup and chicken curry, highly recommend.

The pho was not very flavorful, the location's atmosphere is lacking ambiance, and the choices are not focused. It's okay when nothing else is open, or you are in the area and do not feel like travelling.

This is my neighbourhood Ginger. Service is fine. The food is reliable--tasty, fresh, reasonably priced with good portion size. The place is bright and cheerful.

They get a 4 for the amount of food and the great flavour. Their customer service skills and interaction leave a bit to be desired but i don’t go there for them. I get take out because the restaurant is far from enjoyable. It needs a good scrub down and updated. Food is always consistent in-flavour and quantity as i mentioned. I don’t believe you can go wrong for good priced food..

Everytime my family comes down to Toronto they always have to go to Ginger's at least once before they leave. Great pad thai and always try the vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk or the avocado milkshake!

The food was well made. I liked the Vietnamese restaurant. The mens' washroom needed a better cleaning.

My first time here. I had the chicken and shrimp pad thai and it was delicious. Hot, fresh and tasty. It was Saturday night around 11 PM and the place was not crowded, service was fast. The ambiance was relaxing and comfortable.

Used to be a good place to get a nice and tasty phō. Sadly, Like many downtown restaurants it start to be expensive, and portion size are shrinking. 4 little pieces of chicken in today’s phō.

Simple food nothing special the sprouta and basil where already in the soup not off to the side. Portions were fair for the price. All in all you can go here for a quick lunch and be out in under an hour. Plenty of seating. You order first then take a number and wait for your food to come to you.

The food is good but the restaurant is not comfortable. At night its so bright and unwelcoming. It feels more like a cafeteria than a restaurant. The menu has not changed FOR YEARS and its time.

Love the food and super fast cooking of it. Convenient location. Unfortunately I prefer the young location only because of the fact that they have yellow curry not green one. That's all. Church has a great view and a ton more seating. Xo

The price is neither cheap nor expensive. Very good Pho, the amount is not much. The beef one has flavor of Pho from South Vietnam. Self-served service. The chicken one feels like pho with another broth with grilled chicken put on.

The go to place for Asian food on Church street. We had heard good thing about the Pho here and weren't disappointed. As vegetarians, we were delighted to find a dedicated section for us.However, that said the place isn't fancy if you were planning to take someone on date. This is a great place to eat and that's it. The service can be slow.

I've frequent this spot for about six years now since I moved to village. Both dine in and take out experiences has always been great, never had any questionable moment. I'm writing this review after having lame take out experience from other viet place near by. I'll never cheat on you again. Ginger all the way. 😁

The food and staff are great

My bf and i always comes here for dinner. Food is good, portion sizes are generous and prices are reasonable. Not really crowded and very accessible.
